Apple Applique Coaster: Clarifications – Step 2 – Making the Apple Applique
- “Print and cut out the apple shape using foundation paper or freezer paper.” – Cut out each shape, the apple, stem and leaf as separate pieces.
- “Following the numbered sections, complete the apple”. This assumes the reader is familiar with FPP techniques. For those wanting to know more about the Freezer Paper technique I used go to bryanhousequilts.com.
Apple Applique Coaster: To make a ROUND vs square coaster:
- Complete the edge-to-edge quilting and locate the center.
- Using a round template (I used a 7″ round template by Lori Holt), draw a circle.
- Arrange the apple, stem and leave pieces in the center.
- Continue with stitching the applique pieces in place.
- Bind and enjoy!
